DPR Seals Filing Stations In Jos For Non-Compliance Of The New Price Of N97

The Department of Petrol Resources (DPR), Jos Field Office has sealed off some filling stations that refused to comply with the new fuel regime price of N97 per litre with a warning that such filling stations must adhere to the new pricing.

Members’ staff of the organization was on the streets to monitor compliance of the petroleum product pricing and regulatory agency PPPRA directives on the new pricing which most fuel stations in the state have ignored as they continued to sell over n140 per litre.

Work has already resume at the public and private offices as the state and federal secretariats in Jos, north central Nigeria, in compliance with the directive of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), as well as banks and markets.

But residents in the city and environs are confronted with long queues at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Mega Station following the announcement of the new pump price which independent oil marketers have not adhered to.

The DPR in Jos went round the filling stations to enforce compliance with the new order in price regime.

Former military governor of Delta state, Colonel David Dungs has enjoined Nigerians to exercise patience on the new pump price and hold government in good trust to invest the subsidy as it has promised - Channels TV

RMD was involved in a ghastly car accident this morning in Warri, Delta State. The above was the remains of his SUV. He has been rushed to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.

"Hopefully, he is to be discharged soon"; this was announced by a reliable source.

Occupy Nigeria - Day 2 Of Strike

Today marks the second day of the strike and Mr. President is still insiting on maintaining the removal of fuel subsidy.

Jonathan, speaking on the Nigerian Television Authority after the first day of the mass action that grounded economic and social activities in most parts of the country, said, “The regime of subsidy on petrol has come to an end. This is a bold stance I have taken and the international community has applauded me while some misinformed Nigerians are playing politics with it. I will not back down, I will not resign, and nothing will happen.”

But most Nigerians, backed by both the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, have vowed to see to the reversal of the price of petrol and instill accountability and transparency in government.

How Heartless Can They Be? One Feared Dead In Lagos Protest

I just got this picture from a friend.

This is very sad. Why can't the police see and understand that this is just a peaceful demonstration?  The reality is that these policemen will be the ones to suffer greatly if the fuel subidy is not restored. Mscheeeeew. Why kill innocent people?

Other information gotten (but has not been confirmed) was that the RSS officer who killed the poor man above was in a vehicle with registration number RSS 101 LA. One of them is claimed to be the current  DPO of Pen Cinema. I pray and hope these men are caught and justice is served.

D'Banj On Subsidy

Since the begining of the fuel subsidy removal, D'banj has kept his cool on the matter. Was this because he endorsed Mr. President? He finally commented yesterday via twitter. His tweet read:

"Ok so I haven't said anything about the subsidy cos just like every Nigerian citizen I am as surprised as we all are and yes I supported GEJ openly and fully but I haven't been made the special adviser to the president on youths. Beyonce has finally put to bed. This was confirmed yesterday via many tweets from family and friends.

She checked into the Lenox hospital Friday night under the alias Ingrid Jackson. The couple rented the whole forth floor for $1.3m and gave birth in a private wing. The birth was through a Caesarean section.

Gists has it that even doctors and nurses were not allowed into the 4th floor after 11pm. Security cameras were taped/covered and staff phones were seized so no pictures would be taken.

Why all these measures? Beegists is saying a big congratulation to the new parents.

Nick Cannon Hospitalized

Nick Cannon was admitted into the hospital last night due to mild kidney failure. Mariah Carey says she isn't certain, but adds that Cannon is in "good spirits," although "the situation is not easy" and he's in "a lot of pain."
"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible,"Carey says", We really appreciate everybody's love and support."

“We find it pertinent to state that soldiers will only kill innocent Muslims in the local government areas where the state of emergency was declared.
“We would confront them squarely to protect our brothers,” Qaqa told journalists in a phone conference late Sunday.

This was after President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in some parts of the four states after by the violence blamed on Boko Haram.

What happens to minimum wage earners? We boast of coping without PHCN because we have generators and can afford fuel but what happens now? What happens to food in Nigeria?

Everything will increase. The saddest part is that we all cannot do anything or can we?

Fuel Subsidy Has Finally Been Removed.....Hmmmmm!!!!

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) has announced that the fuel subsidies have been removed effective today. This means from today, Nigerians will now pay N141 per litre for fuel.

What a new year gift from our government.Our president & co insisted on doing this and they have finally achieved.

Why won't they talk of fixing the refinery or am i the only one thinking this way? What is our fate in this country? What so-called benefit(s) are we to derive from this subsidy removal?
