Why don't women read between the lines sometimes? I found myself watching the reality programme "Keeping up with the Kardarshians" on Sunday and observed somethings. The episode was showing some days before  Kim and Kris's wedding. They kept on fighting and arguing everyday, they didn't agree to many things concerning the wedding plans and our dear Kim was not ready to change her last name; not even for love.
To me, the marriage crashed way before the wedding day and not after 72days.

Breaking News: National Sports Commission Spent N1.2M To Open A Facebook Account

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Mr Patrick Ekeji, has been summoned by the House of Reps over the commission's expenditures, including N1.2m for a Facebook account.

Hmmmm...things we hear in Nigeria. Did he actually open a facebook account with N1.2m? How much did Twitter cost?..lol. Do these people think we are that dumb? But come to think of it o, maybe the money was paid to the person that opened the account. Probably he re-designed the FB page and will also serve as the account manager. What do you think? Is this money justifiable?

Henry Okah's Trial Postponed Till 1st October 2012

The trial of former Niger-Delta militant and suspected terrorist, Henry Okah has been postponed till October 1, 2012. Okah, who was arrested in Johannesburg, South Africa on October 2, 2010, is standing trial in the South Gauteng High Court, South Africa for allegedly masterminding the October 1, 2010 Independence Day car bombings in Nigeria in which 12 people were killed and many others injured.
Okah was a leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta and was granted amnesty by the Yar’Adua government before the October 1, 2010 bombing.
Justice will surely be served. That will be his own anniversary gift from all the innocent Nigerians he killed.

Al-Mustapha Sentenced To Death By Hanging

A Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere has sentenced Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to late dictator, Sani Abacha, to death by hanging. Al-Mustapha and one Lateef Shofolahan have been standing trial for over twelve years, for the murder of Kudirat Abiola, wife of the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Moshood Abiola.

Al-Mustapha was accused of ordering Sgt Rogers to kill Kudirat, who was shot dead on June 4, 1996 along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Lagos toll gate, opposite Cargo Vision, Ikeja in Lagos.The prosecution also accused Shofolahan, who was said to have been Kudirat’s protocol officer, of revealing the deceased’s itinerary to her assailants

Big Brother Africa Grand Prize Now USD 300,000

M-Net announced today that the prize money for the show has been raised to $300,000, up from $200,000.

The 2012 edition will be very different from previous editions. According to reports, the prize will be won by contestants from two countries, like 2011, but this time, housemates will come in pairs.

So be it couples, married or otherwise, siblings, BFFs or even enemies, the contestants will be coming into the Big Brother Africa house in pairs.

Liberia and Sierra Leone will also be joining the cast - a first for both countries - and Ethiopia has opted out of the edition, M-Net managing director Biola Alabi said.

Participating pairs should be from the same country, over 21, fluent in English and in possession of a valid passport to even stand a chance at the new and improved grand prize.

Registration is still going on, so hurry up...make Nigeria proud by bringing this 'kudi' home once again.

Famous Nollywood actor, John Okafor a.k.a Mr Ibu just lost his son named Emmanuel Mandela (Mandy).
Details of how the little boy died is still not clear but information has it that he was sick few days ago. Few hours ago, Mr.Ibu updated his FB status with the message below:

 R.I.P Mandy,my son....Mummy and Daddy loves you a lot but God loves you more.

Please accept our condolence and may the good Lord comfort you and your family.

Blackberry CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis Step Down

Research In Motions’s co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis are stepping down as CEOs, and COO Thorsten Heins will take over.

In an interview with the Globe and Mail, Heins said of RIM, “It’s a fantastic growth story and it’s not coming to an end … What you will see with me is rigour and flawless execution.”
RIM’s CEOs certainly deserved to go after squandering the company’s sizable marketshare lead. Still, it’s surprising. They are the largest shareholders in the company, and Lazaridis founded RIM
The co-CEOs had been promising a top down review of the company’s operations. Apparently, that resulted in this change. They are not leaving the company entirely. They will be on the board and Balsillie will be a director, and Lazaridis a vice-chairman.

GEJ Vows To Wipe Out Boko Haram....Hmmmm!!!

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday visited Kano following Friday's bombing leaving over 165 people dead. He said the Federal Government will wipe out the dreaded boko haram and pleaded with Nigerian to support security agencies by notifying them or reporting any suspicious element in their environs.

He made this statement at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.


“Those causing havoc will never succeed, Kano has been in peace since the Boko Haram insurgence. The Federal Government will not rest until the perpetrators are brought to book.
“The people doing this are not spirits, they are among us. I seek the cooperation of all towards getting those involved in the havoc arrested.
“I can assure you that we will intensify security in Kano and all over the nation to look at our neighbors to know what they do, to enable us to fish out these miscreants - Goodluck Jonathan

Tracy Morgan Hospitalized

Tracy Morgan, the 30 Rock star and former Saturday Night Live star has been hospitalized after falling unconscious at the Sundance Film Festival. He was being honoured at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards.

The 43 year old guy just finished giving his speech and was being escorted outside when he collapsed. He was rushed to Park City Medical Center. Information has it that, he is diabetic and he received a kidney transplant 2 years ago.

Kano Bombings...Now Bauchi!!! When Will All These Bombings End?

Hospital officials in Kano say 160 people have been confirmed dead, but that bodies are still arriving at mortuaries. Boko Haram, which wants an Islamic state, said it launched the attack because the authorities refused to free a group of its members from jail.

President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Kano to offer his condolences.

Just this morning, i woke up to the news of the bombings in Bauchi. 10 people have been confirmed dead already. This is barely 2 days after the explosions in Kano.

What is Nigeria turning into? When exactly did we start deriving pleasure in killing ourselves. How much are they being paid to take away lives of the innocent. Only God will judge these evil doers.

Father Beats Son To Death Over N100

Mr Morufu Fayomi

Mr Morufu Fayomi, a resident of Agoro, Ijoke, Sango Ota was arrested for beating his 12 year old son to death. The deceased, Lekan Fayomi apparently took his father's N100 to buy food for himself when he was hungry. His father left home without giving him money for food. On his father's return, he noticed that his N100 was missing and confronted his son. Lekan told the truth but his father was too furious and he started flogging him. Out of anger, he used the iron in his belt to hit his son on the head. The boy was said to have slumped and died immediately.

Out of fear, the father did not say anything until the net day. He notified his neighbours of his son's death but he didn't say what led to his death. The suspicious neigbhours later reported the case to the authorities.

Police Fires Tear Gas At Protesters In Lagos

Nigerian police fired tear gas today in Lagos at hundreds of protestors marching against the authorities’ security crackdown in the aftermath of a week-long strike over fuel prices.
According to an AFP correspondent, more than 200 protestors defied police warnings and marched towards a park in the economic capital that had become the epicentre of mass mobilisation against the removal of fuel subsidies.

One Mr.Patrick Chukwuemeka, 32 was yesterday apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. He was caught with 7.1kg of liquid cocaine.
